Bradleigh Leon has his counterpoint in the delightful character of Billy J.
The destructive relationship between Alwyn and Sarah Patterson balanced with Dizz and Dee Moradio.
The young aspirant to the convent in Rie and the bewildered nun in Susan.
Jason does not experience these.
He might know about them but not through the eyes of the people themselves. How can he know what Alwyn is really doing in his battle against the paedophiles that interfered with his son? Jason is too preoccupied with survival to know more than what he portrays – his father is too engrossed elsewhere to worry about him!
Re-enter the grasshopper brain.
Neural differences or not, the young are very adept at compartmentalising and flicking. A bit of music from here, a bit of colour and texture from there and hey presto, a new look with flamboyant hair, in a coat from a tuxedo, torn jeans and scruffed sneakers.
Exciting.
Wonderful.
Should our writing reflect this?
I believe it does and there are countless examples I could use but that would be repeating what you already know better than I do.
